Special line created with the help and technical support of the Italian watercolorist and illustrator Felice Feltracco. These brushes differentiate on the market for their unique, traditional and elegant design that features all the best characteristics and qualities for watercolor painting.
The 1407 series has been conceived with the aim of obtaining a brush that fully satisfies the extreme needs of the modern watercolorist; in order to fulfill this task, we chose the synthetic Kazan squirrel imitation fibre, which has always been renowned for its perfect qualities: the fibers, which are already very capillary in nature, have been qualitatively improved in the laboratory, focusing especially on the tip, made extremely thin, with a very high color holding capacity and an appreciable elasticity that guarantees maximum precision.
The 1408 series is also made with the Kazan squirrel synthetic fiber which, together with the elongated and thin shape, lends itself more to the creation of long and thin lines such as branches and hair.
The 1412 Aquasoft series, on the contrary, is produced using the best quality of natural white goat hair. The main feature of this hair is its wavy texture that allows to store large amounts of water and color resulting in gradual and homogeneous release; for this reason, these brushes are indispensable tools for covering large areas of color in a single stroke. If treated with due care, this fine, spotless hair does not get dirty and does not retain old colors.
Accomunated by an accurate study and top quality raw materials, these brushes are indispensable tools for every professional in the watercolor sector. Handcrafted, they are made with tumble painted handles, a special coating that penetrates into the wood rather than covering it, making it resistant to water and unrelated to the classic peeling of the exterior paint, and non-slip to the touch for a firmer grip granting maximum precision.
