He finished his studies at the “Ilya Repin” high school in Chisinau (Moldova), and then, in 1999, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Timisoara, graduating in graphic and industrial design. In the same year he decided to move to Italy. In Rome he enrolled and attended painting courses at the Academy of Fine Arts. Igor is one of the founders of the watercolor school “Aquarelle Art Studio”. He spends his time painting and teaching watercolor in Rome and around the world.

Igor uses for his landscapes the watercolor brushes in Kolinsky sable hair in the short-handle version, series 334, 424 e 440. This line of products embodies the best characteristics for the use of water-based colors, perfect even for the most meticulous details. The qualities that distinguish the brushes made with this superb natural hair, are in fact an excellent color retention and softness, which allow a good distribution of color, a finely worked tip and an adequate elasticity for the return of the thin tip following the brushstroke.
